Domain Name Transfer Agreement
PLEASE READ THIS AGREEMENT CAREFULLY, AS IT AFFECTS YOUR LEGAL RIGHTS.
Overview
This Domain Name Transfer Agreement (“Agreement”) is between 10Corp (or Web Services LLC for .ca domains) and you, effective upon your electronic acceptance. By accepting, you agree to comply with this Agreement and all other relevant agreements (e.g., Universal Terms of Service, Domain Name Registration Agreement, Uniform Domain Name Dispute Resolution Policy).
The terms “we,” “us,” or “our” refer to 10Corp, while “you,” “your,” or “customer” refer to the accepting party. This Agreement grants no third-party rights.
10Corp reserves the right to change this Agreement at any time. Such changes are effective immediately upon being posted on our site. Continuing to use the services after changes are posted implies acceptance of the revised Agreement. Ensure your account email is accurate to receive notifications; we are not responsible if you fail to receive such notifications.
10Corp is a reseller of domain registration services and not ICANN-accredited. Any modifications necessary to comply with ICANN, the sponsoring registrar, or the domain registry will be incorporated into this Agreement.
This Agreement becomes binding upon the acceptance of both the Registration and Transfer agreements in Step 3 of the Online Transfer Application.
Domain Transfer Process (Excluding .ca Domains)
2.A. Steps for Transferring Domain Names
- You can manage your domain (e.g., renew, modify DNS) after the transfer by logging into your account.
- Complete the required information (e.g., contact details, nameserver info), proceed through the shopping cart, and pay for the transfer.
- Ensure the Administrative Contact’s email at your current registrar is up-to-date, as they must approve the transfer.
- Transfers are processed within 5 days of approval.
2.B. Failed or Rejected Transfers
10Corp may reject transfers for various reasons, including but not limited to:
- Rejection by the current registrar.
- Recent registration (within 60 days).
- Domain locked by the Registry or losing registrar.
- Expired or recently renewed domains.
- Disputes over domain ownership or pending bankruptcy.
- Transfers older than 30 days.
2.C. Successful Transfer
Once the transfer is successful, 10Corp will become the registrar of record. The domain registration is extended by one year (subject to registry rules). Transfer initiation requires agreement acceptance, payment, and confirmation by the Administrative Contact via email.
2.D. Recently Renewed Domains
Renewal years may be lost if the domain was renewed within 45 days of expiration, and 10Corp will not be responsible for this. Check with your previous registrar for potential refunds or credits.
2.E. Data and Authorization
By accepting this Agreement, you request a transfer of your domain from the current registrar to 10Corp and are responsible for ensuring the Administrative Contact is aware of their role in the process.
